On 20.01.2010 in the Chamber of Commerce, Lodi, Italy ‘’Blagoeva, Gancheva and Strateva’’ Law Firm in cooperation with “Aligal – International Law Firm” – Udine, Italy at the invitation of ‘’Lodi Export’’ Consortium organized a conference under the theme ‘’Bulgaria – opportunities and novelty for exporters’’.

Within the framework of the conference att. Giacinto Tommasini from ‘’Aligal’’ and the attorneys Mariya Gancheva and Veselina Blagoeva from the ‘’Blagoeva, Gancheva and Strateva’’ Law Firm presented to the participating Italian entrepreneurs the state of the economic situation and the sectors open for investments in Bulgaria, the opportunities for registering a company, branches and commercial representations.

Time was dedicated to contractual regulation of Bulgarian Law in the fields of commercial representation, trading and distribution, as well as, methods for dispute resolution. Special emphasis has given to the question ‘’Why to invest in Bulgaria?’’ ending each of the lecturers’ presentations. In the subsequent discussion the participants showed distinct interest in the Bulgarian market – mainly in the food industry and agricultural economic sectors.

As a result of the conference and the continuation of the established close Bulgarian-Italian connections, the hosts ‘’Lodi Export’’ Consortium organized a visit of a business delegation in Bulgaria from 18 until 20 April 2010 when numerous meetings were conducted gathering Bulgarian producers and traders in Sofia and Plovdiv. The meetings were managed and assisted by the National Institute of Italy for Foreign Trade (ICI) at the Embassy of the Italian Republic in Bulgaria.
